CAMPUS COPIERS / TRC

Campus Copiers are parent volunteers who generously donate their time photocopying instructional material for the teachers. They also perform lamination, binding, and other tasks at the shool district's Teacher Resource Center (TRC) on Portal Ave, one day a week.

Basic Copy Volunteers: This is a weekly job to photocopy teacher material.

Guidelines:

  1. We always let teachers cut in. (We offer to do the copying and delivery.)

  2. We always stop for recess to let the teachers use the machine.

  3. We will question other parents that come in before letting them cut in.

  4. We try to do the jobs in order of due dates, so ASAP doesn't help much.

  5. Copying is only performed during posted hours (we leave the copier free at all other times)

CROSSING GUARDS

We all want our children to have a safe trip to and from school. Having crossing guards at the crosswalks serves as a reminder to drivers to be cautious and to observe traffic laws. To help with this, we need help from our parents to be crossing guards on a regular basis. It's up to all of us to help make our community safe!

CROSSING GUARD VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

Please wear an orange vest for visibility and use the red stop signs while in the crosswalk.

Please arrive no later than 8:10 AM, however, arriving by 8:00 AM would be best to allow time for set-up in the morning. You can expect to finish by 8:40 AM. You should arrive no later than 10 minutes before dismissal time (2:20 PM every day except Tuesday; 1:50 PM on Tuesday). You can expect to finish by 20 minutes after dismissal time.

  • Crossing guards assist students in crossing the street at the crosswalks while allowing the traffic to flow smoothly
  • It is not the crossing guard's responsibility to direct traffic or to monitor traffic flow, unless it hampers the safety of students
  • Crossing guards should remind both parents and children to use the crosswalks for their own safety
In Addition:

The District would like to remind all volunteers that tuberculosis (TB) test results must be on file in the office for all school volunteers. The office has a copy of all current records. Please check with the office to see if your records are current.
