Any child who will be five years old on or before December 2, 2011, and is physically residing in the district, is eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2011. Only parents/guardians may pick up a registration packet at their area attendance school beginning January 14, 2011. Registration packets are numbered sequentially. The registration number on the packet is valid for packets returned between January 24 through February 3, 2011. Sibling priority will be given to siblings of in-district students currently attending their area attendance school who register during the registration window. All parents registering a child for kindergarten will be required to provide:

* Original current, Pacific Gas & Electric bill. (Photocopies cannot be accepted.) PG&E bills with multiple names will require two forms of additional proof of residence from List B. If you are a NEW resident, a valid rental/lease/sales agreement is required until you receive your PG&E bill. You will be given a conditional registration form for 30 days until a PG&E bill is provided. Printed on-line PG&E bills will require two forms of identification from List B.
An Affidavit of Parent Residence signed by you and the primary resident, must be completed in the Student Assignment Office if you are residing with another person. The primary resident will be required to provide a PG&E bill in their name to verify residence. You will need to provide two forms of identification from List B.
In instances where none of the above documents are available at the time of registration, the parent should contact the Student Assignment Office, (408) 252-3000, Ext. 110.
Proof of Age
Certificate of Birth (certificates provided by the hospital are not acceptable), a baptismal certificate duly attested, a passport or an affidavit signed by the parent, guardian or custodian of the child.
Students entering from another country are required to have a passport.
Immunization Requirements - immunization records are required at the time of registration.
